which 700 to buy

Looking at buying 30-06 or 7mm rem mag in a stainless synthetic rem700 bdl. Was looking at the sendero in stainless and was wondering if there is that much difference in performance over a standard barrel. Was also wondering about the laminated stock over the basic synthetic stock. I want a gun that can take a beating and keep on ticking. I take good care of my guns but I wat a gun to use and not have to worry about keeping it dry or worry about it being scratched up from little bumps and such. I really don't want the reg wood stock but I love the look of the grey laminated stocks. Does the laminated hold up as well as the synthetic and does one perform better than the other in accuracy. I need some input if someone could help.

Laminates are more stable in wet environments than the standard wood stocks but a synthetic stock is more stable than either because it can't absorb moisture.Laminates also tend to be the heaviest of the three.

For all foul weather condidtions the Synthetic will be the most stable. I like the plain old 700 ADL Synthetic about the best of any of the Remingtons and you can't beat the price. I say this because I don't care much what a gun looks like as long as it works well and puts the bullet where the crosshair is.
