RE: What's the best handgun for deer/elk hunting?

I hate take anything away from the T/C's because thats my "thing". But if its a revolver you're after, then there are several different calibers and revolvers that'll do just fine. All of these will do the job: a hot-loaded 44mag or 45 Colt, 454, 475, 480, or the 500 from Smith. Some other things to keep in mind are, the availability of brass, bullets and so on. As for which revolver, S&W, Ruger, Freedom Arms and Taurus all make fine ones. All of these are just suggestions. Weigh all of the options and decide on what "fits" you the best.
