New 870

I recently bought a new 870. The gun seems to be too long for me. Is there anything that I can do to the gun to shorten it up a bit?

TAKE IT TO A GUNSMITH, HE WILL MEASURE YOU, AND CUT THE STOCK TO FIT YOU. I HAVE TO DO THIS TO ALL MY SHOTGUNS AND RIFLES. I HUNT DEER ONLY, SO I HAVE ALITTLE MORE TAKEN OFF THEN I NEED, TO MAKE UP FOR THE BULKY JACKETS I WEAR DURING THE COLDER WEATHER.

Thanks for the info. I called my gunsmith and he said it would be $45. Does that sound right to you?

I wouldn't do it for that. As long as he stands behind his work, as in no scratches and mars. Sounds like a fair price to me.

I will keep that in mind. I have used this guy for a couple of things in the past and he always treats me fair, and does really nice work. Thanks again for the input.

$45 IS BALLPARK PRICE, MAKE SURE THAT INCLUDES RUBBER RECOIL PAD

I did ask if that included the pad, and it does. Thanks again for the info.
