Rem 700 .270 advice/price question

Checking out a Remington 700 BDL .270 no optics for sale second hand. Appears to be NIB, no marks on the the stock and blueing is fine. The white laminate piece in the stock forearm is tinged brown (assuming from age but not certain). No wear marks on the feeder, bolt, receiver or chamber ramp, appears un-used. Not certain how old, the bolt did not cycle on both safe and fire, that indicates post-82'.

Question - asking price is $430, seems fair. Looking for a versatile caliber rifle to add optics for whitetail, this may be the choice for the price.

thanks

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me considering its lack of wear. And you can't go wrong with the .270 for whitetail. Who's selling it, the original owner or a dealer?

Seller is the owner on a consignment sale. Not certain if it is the original owner. I agree the price seems very good.

If you need a decent deer rifle, this might just be your best bet for the money.

Good deal...besides...an older BDL is better than the new ones.
