Maverick shotguns???
 

An friend of mine are thinking of getting a maverick pump shotgun. I do not know theese guns so i told him to get a rem 870 instead but that is just me. What are your thoughts on the maverick? The dealer told him that the police in USA use the maverick and if that is true thay must be very reliable? Please help me out here.

i believe they are the same as a mossberg 500 just a brother of the company or something. i owned one for a couple years and sold it for a semi. it was a good shooter and seemed lighter than a mossberg model 500 that i liked. at the time it was almost 100$ cheaper than a 870 remington so i got the maverick. i say go for it!;)
