I recommend the 870 express, too. Mine has been very reliable over the years (about 13 now).

If you are on a tight budget for a little over $100.00 you can buy a single shot Stoeger Hunter or a NE Firearms Pardner (I have this one) in a full choke that handles a 3" shell and kill turkeys quite successfully.

I have done this for a number of years even though I own Brownings, a Beretta, a Benelli, and a number of other manufacturer's shotguns. You don't have to worry about these guns getting down and dirty or scratched and turkey hunting is a one and done type of thing anway.

there is a new remington 870 express for turkey hunting. i have not shot one yet but the look sweet. it is a pump, all camo, 3 inch chamber i think, and has tru glo sites. good luck

For value it is hard to beat a Mossberg 500. You can get one for around $165 or so.
