HELP ME FIND THIS!!!!
 

hey all i have found the rifle that i want but i have called 4 stores in southwestern ontario and they dont carry them...

im looking for a Savage Model 12FV in .22-250 or maybe .243 but i cant find any around here.....

how would i go about going to the US and buying it there and coming back to canada with it? what r the fees id have to pay?

so if anyone knows where to get a savage model 12 fv in .22-250 or .243 that is brand new oir slithly used let me know plz

Whats the polocy up there for having a dealer order one for you? Its kind of hard to find a specific Savage rifle down here if its not the run of the mill model. I usually have to have a dealer order them for me. At times it can still take up to six weeks to get.

Don't know about the laws up there. Down here I would just order it on-line and have it delivered to my independant FFL holder and pay him the $10.00 fee he charges to file the paper work. Go to www.youngsguns.com they may be able to help you. If no info on web sight there will be a phone # you could call them and ask them if they sell to Canada and how they go about it.

Youngs guns is a local gun store in NC around me, I dont know if it is the same one though?

Good luck Can hunter...I tried buying a scope from Cabelas a while back, with all the new gun laws they couldn't even send it up here since no one was sure of the laws. They just declined to send any gun parts, components or accessories due to the restrictions. I'm sure trying to order a gun would be a gong show...but good luck! JDinAB

Give Wholesale sports a call 1-800-696-0253 or www.wholesalesports.com tell them what you want. I am sure they can get it for you. And there are no border hassels as its a Canadian company. I just checked their catalog they have it for$659.95 Cdn and the stainless 12fvss for 799.95

is there a special fee thats added to normal shipping for a firearm?

if anyone has an idea how much shipping would cost to get it from alberta (could be saskatchewan) to ontario plz let me know

I am looking at their catalog they have shipping rates by Purolator courier . To Ontario its $13.00 for 10 lbs and under then add $0.30 for each pound over 10. Your best bet is to give them a call . Its toll free. They should be able to give you all your options. They list that gun @8.75 lbs. lets call it 9 add 3 more pounds for packing material you end up with 12 lbs which should cost $13.60 to ship. by Purolator.
PS. if you buy from out of the province (Ontario) you don't pay the provincial sales tax only the GST. Alberta doesn't have a sales tax. You save 8% or $52.80 that puts you $39.20 to the good even after paying for shipping than buying it in Ontario .

how long ya think it will take to get here? does it have to be ordered to a local gun dealer or can i order it right to my house?

They will deliver right to your door. The catalog says 10 days for delivery. As I stated before call them and they will give you all the info you want. Good luck and happy hunting.
