RE: Want an old Dept. Store Rifle.

My dad has a Stevens 410 bolt action with the clip. It's a great gun with very much use and never a problem. Lots of bunnies killed. One day I'm sure it will be mine as I have 4 sisters and no brothers... though one of my sisters does love to hunt.

I had a Sears 6C 22semi-auto rifle. It was indeed made by Winchester.
When I bought extra magazines for it I had to go to Winchester of Canada.
Didn't even know there was a Winchester of Canada.
It was a nice rifle, especially for the price ,$40and change.

I have a Sears Model 53 .30-06 and a Sears .22 semi auto. The .22 is worn out. My grandpa bought both of them in the mid 60's. My dad was 8 or 9 at the time. i killed my first two deer with the .30-06. It shoots great. The .22 has the same magazine as the new Savage .22's, but I'm not sure who made them. I wouldn't sell either of them for the world.

My father left me a Sears & Roebuck JC Higgins Model 51 in a 30-06 Sprg. The rifle was made in Belgium at Fabrique National and then shipped to the United States. As far as I know, resulting in my research, the JC Higgins model 51 is the only rifle that Sears & Roebuck put there name on that was totally manufactued and assembled in Belgium by Fabrique National. I shoots .407" groups @ 100 yds. with 180 gr. Hornady SPBT handloads. Good luck.

Wifey bought me a Savage 110 '06 20 years ago, and it's still the most accurate centerfire rifle in my gun cabinet! It's also the UGLIEST! :D

Got a 12 guage Revelation Western Auto. Also working a deal on buying a
.30-30 Western Auto (Marlin) for $75.00

Snoball, don't let that savage fool you. Under that dark classic finish is a good looking wood grain. I have a 110 Savage that I refinished the stock on took me over 2 months but is has a beutiful wood grain pattern and is now a natural blonde color from the true oil apposed to the dark stain that it had.

I've got an old JC Higgins Sears .22 semi auto pistol. It is really a High Standard I think. It's a pretty good shooter. It camr to me through my dad who was given it by his uncle who bought it new.

I have 2 old Sears Ted Williams guns that were passed down from my grandfather. One is a .22 auto, and the other is a 20ga auto. Both are excellent guns...they shoot and look great. As far as I can remember they were made by Winchester.

DPV, a good place to find these type of guns is at estate auctions. Seems like alot of folks had these type of guns, and usually they are fairly cheap. Just a thought. :)

I have a (Wards) Westernfield lever action 30-30 purchased in 1970. The rifle shoots great, and is currently still in use today for deer hunting.
