HS Precision or McMillian...HELP!
I own a Winchester Model 70 Long Action in Left Hand and can't find either of the two stocks I want for my rifle[>:]. I would love to have a Varminter style but no one seems to make one (or a sporter style for that matter) for the LH actions[:@]. Can someone help me!?!?!?

RE: HS Precision or McMillian...HELP!
Two years ago I purchased a Model 70 CRF, SS, 300 WSM and a Rem 700 SS 30-06. As soon as I got home, I called HS Precision and ordered their Sporter stocks (with the full length aluminum bedding block and pillars). While on the phone, I asked their rep if they could make a stock for another rifle I own. They told me they could make a stock for just about any production rifle on the market, and many that were no longer being produced. You might want to call HS Precision. Their stocks (and rifles) are top drawer, IMO.

RE: HS Precision or McMillian...HELP!
I know everyone is McMillian nuts, but I love H-S. Its what i have on all my customs. Well all two. But I like the fact I really don't have to do much bedding. With the full length alum bedding. You still might have to remove some material to free float but no usually. With a McMillian, you most of the time have to have glass bedded at a little. And they seem a little heavier.
Look into Boyds. I love there laminated stuff. |
