I think it would be something to see in the woods, but I would definitly let it walk on by. Bad Luck is all I hear of shooting albinos, sorry guys I am really superstitious.

Deer hunters crack me up I hunt deer but consider myself a turkey hunter. Guess you are wondering where I'm going. A white deer is just that, a white deer. It's a genetic fluke. Nothing special about it. Guess you better consider yourselves lucky, turkeys have Red Phase, Smoke Phase, Gray Phase and Black Phase. Ya'll would be passing up a lot of meat if deer came the same way

P.S. I'm not bashing just find it funny that a lot of deer hunters will pass on a white, paibold or albino bucks. This discussion has came up on several boards recently due to the illegal albino buck in IL? If you don't want to shoot one that's fine, but I figure a white deer will eat just as good as a brown one, and if you want a shoulder mount it sure would be a pretty one.

I live in NC and yes it's legal to shoot an Albino if you see one. I've killed several Piebald deer here in my area but i've never seen an Albino. If i were to see one and it wasn't to small i would definately shoot it. There was a guy that use to work where i do that killed an Albino 11 pointer years ago that had pink eyes and he did a shoulder mount done and that thing is something to behold. I seen a full body mount of an Albino at a deer expo and it was also very nice.

It's kind of weird how different opinions I'm getting and that's a good thing.

As a matter of face, it is a last-year fawn.
Well, I'm kind of shaky now to decide to take it next year with a rack or take it now with a 1.5 in. stubb?

Well, by the time I decide, someone else has probably shot it.[&:]

Years ago I asked a game warden about it in CA. he said if you see one shoot it you do not have to tag it.
