RE: Blue Question

If this is a diy project check out the Blue Wonder Product. Very easy to work with and produces really nice results. You can get it from Midway or Cabelas. You can download an instructional video too.

RE: Blue Question

I agree with thundrchiken I used blue wonder in a situation like yours. I bought a gun from a family and they had tried to take the rust off . Kind of made the barrel a mess but the gun was great otherwise.I saw the blue wonder video and for the price I figured I'd give it a try.I have had mixed results with these kind of products before so I was skeptical.I have to say if I have another project I will use it again. It worked great. I used the propane torch method instead of the hair dryer. there are other uses for the gun cleaner also. You can view the video by looking up blue wonder on the searches. Right now www.cheaperthandirt.com is the about the cheapest I have seen on these products.:)

RE: Blue Question

I concur on the blue wonder. It's great stuff and fairly easy. Much easier than cold bluing and much less expensive than hot bluing. I'll try to post a before and after of one gun I did with it.

This is the before pic

And the after. The stuff really works.

blue wonder is the site for the company.
