Ruger scope rings (need different size)
 

Anybody ever have to send back a set of Ruger rings for a set of different height rings? I got a new Ruger .17 HMR and it came with high rings. I am putting a 40mm scope on it and don' t need the extra height of the high rings. How big of a hassle is it to get my rings swapped for a set of medium rings and what is the phone # to contact Ruger. Thanks in advance.

MTT I' ve never swapped any but I understand Ruger will exchange them at N/C if the are unopened.You would have to contact Ruger in Newport NH. Their phone # is 1-603 863-3300.Ask for the parts dept.I' ve had many dealing with Ruger' s parts and service dept. They are a first class operation.You' ll have to call or write since Ruger will NOT accept emails.
