How much recoil does a 7mm have?....compared to a 30-30.....is it alot harder....the same....a little harder?...LMK PLEASE

If you' re talking about a 7mm Rem Mag, definitely more than a .30-30--check this link out for a recoil comparison table.

as Greg said, it will be noticably more than the 30-30 in recoil and sound. A 7MM Rem mag is not that bad though. The stock style, action type and weight of the gun as well as the loads you are using will have a lots of effect on felt recoil. I have a light weight .308 that to me recoils more than my 7MM!

There are lots of 7mm' s. The 7-30 Waters, for example, has LESS recoil than a .30/30!

In my experience, I have to disagree with you, otis. I have a Rem 700 ADL synthetic .30-06 that just gives me a little push. It' s loud, but not burst my ear drums loud.

On the other hand, a shooting buddy has Rem 700 Sendero SF 7mm Rem Mag that not only recoils harder (getting through a box took some determination), but I could feel the muzzle blast on my face. Made my ears shudder, but it wasn' t that all that bad.

We all have different comfort levels, but I imagine that most people who are shooting the 7mm for the first time will notice a big difference between it and a .30-30 or a .30-06, for that matter.

I have to agree with Otis.I find the 30-06 and 7mmremmag to recoil very similarly.I find that the heavier sendero in 7mmremmag actually recoils less than a standard weight 30-06.

Me too! A lot of how a rifle recoils is how it FEELS! This is determined by such things as stock shape, buttplate material, gun weight, etc. I had an M70 Featherweight in .308 once that was very unpleasant to shoot. Likewise a .308 Norma magnum that had a Neidner steel buttplate, which was WORSE to shoot than my old M70 Super in .375 H&H!!

They don' t kick at all .IF you are shooting at a critter.:D
