I noticed no one said to check your scope mounts . I have a savage model 10 when I bought my rifle I had the dealer put mounts and a scope on it. I took it to the range it was shooting about 5 inch groups at 100 yards . I checked it out and the mounts was for a 110 savage . I changed mounts now I am shooting 1in groups at 100 yards.

Also check to make sure the barrel and action is secure to the stock if you haven't already done so.

hey guys....this thread is almost six months old.....I'm sure the solution has been found by now
