Bedroom Gun safes

My old electronic gun safe which I have had that I punched a 4 number code in for about 25 years or more took a dump a while back. While I could still open it with a key , that process would have been too slow. I have been considering one that uses fingerprint recognition for a while. I finally broke down and bought one about 3 weeks ago that uses a finger print, a numerical code or a key. I was a little skeptical but the price was right so I went for it. I have to say I am happy with it, the programing is easy as pie and I set a numerical code and a finger print to open the lid. My wife is short and can't easily reach the fingerprint pad but has no problem punching in the 6 digit numerical code if she should ever need to. It has batteries and a plug in back up should the batteries take a dump. I got it from Amazon for less than #100.00 . the brand name is HOLEWOR. The fingerprint release feature is much faster, instantaneous, than the numerical code option. There are more brands than the one I bought but if you are in the market for a secure handy gun safe this one meets the bill.

Good to know OT. But in any event I just keep mine on the nightstand because no one comes into the house except me and my wife. My grandson and granddaughter are 21 and 19 and they know how to shoot so I'm not worried about it getting in the wrong hands. And when we go out it is in a holster on my side so its never left unattended. Our doors remain locked so if anyone tries to break in, even during the day, I can get to it quickly.

Where did you choose to mount the safe?

It is on top of my dresser by my bed. I really like the finger print option to open the safe.

I keep a small electronic safe with two pistols and magazines on the night stand.

Used to be in the drawer, but having kids required the safe.

No kids here so no safe needed

Glad you found a good biometric safe. The HOLEWOR sounds like great value with its multiple access options.
