I live in MN and was wondering if anyone has seen the new loading from federal with grand slam bullets in any stores. Have heard a lot about them, but don' t know where to get them I am looking for .30-30 and .270.

Hi drh1175,

I' m not sure if I have seen that bullet in Federal Premiums yet. I' ll have to keep my eyes open. I have seen the Grand Slams loaded in Speer' s own factory loads. They are not as commonly available as the " Big 3" , but they seem to becoming slowly more available.

Maybe some others here might have more info.

Good luck!

I have seen a few at Scheels all Sports stores. There should be one in your area if you are from MN. You might also try Cabelas. Maybe the Speer site would have a list of dealers in your state as well. Good luck.

I' ve tried many grand Slams in my personal handloads.....sorry...I' ve yet to see one shoot a decent group.....I' d accept that they would have fine terminal performance...but their acccuracy has prevented me from experiencing this.

Personally, I' d buy something less costly for deer hunting....(deer is my assumption)

Power points and core locks still work fine and if you' re a handloader, Hornady' s interlocks are fine bullets as well....
