It seems like you're saying that they grind half the rifling out for some reason

Japan has some pretty silly gun laws. if you import an accurate gun, they take it and make it inaccurate! I think there are more murders with knives than guns.

You are absolutely right ...
I wish they would have at least kept 5/6 or 3/4 of the rifling

I'm all for knife control

By Japanese law, rifled barrels are cut down to half a mess.
So I am looking for a precision custom half rifled barrel.
