I shot a friends 30/30 and 45.70 BFR yes a hand full to say the least. I settled on the .500 S$W BFR which has a simular recoil as the 45/70. I typically load 375 grain HCFNGCs that I cast. I also use Berry's 350 grain FN jacketed which are an excellant round.
