Cabela's top calibers
I know the information is incomplete (e.g. quantity of each sold), but considering this is all I have to work with, as of today, this is how many offerings Cabela's has for the most popular caliber ammunition. Note, every other caliber in their inventory is in the single digits as of today (ranging from 1 to 9 choices). I have also included the number of rifles offered in each caliber. Note, although the following calibers did not have double digit offerings in terms of ammunition choices, these calibers offered double digit rifle models available at Cabela's:
.300 Winchester Magnum = 39 rifles
7mm Remington Magnum = 25 rifles
Again, every other caliber rifle listed has its variety of rifles offered in the single digits.
Over the next 3-5 years, how do you anticipate this ranking might change (if at all), and why?

The list in the thumbnail are the same cartridges I would have also thought were the top dogs but not necessarily in the same order. As for the 300WM and 7mmRM I am somewhat surprised by the amount of rifles carried in those two chamberings.

I agree. I also wanted to look at Grabagun.com and started thinking the number of rifles offered might be better/easier to track. This is what I found. I left anything south of .350 Legend out.
Ps... We also have to keep in mind that Cabela's and Grabagun list items they no longer sell, so this has to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Nonetheless, the newer comers making their mark tell us something.
