"CAI Re-import Stamp " . . . what does this mean?

I'm looking at a Ruger 10/22 and the seller's description says; "CAI Re-import Stamp on Left Side". I'm pleading ignorance here. Never heard of this. What is it? how does it affect gun value?

CAI might stand for Century Arms Imports. No clue as to why they would put "Re-Import" on the gun since Century Arms International imports all of their guns anyways.

Possible the gun was shipped out of the country and then re-imported by CAI.
I would guess that they have to mark every gun they import into the country.

Great. Make sense. You suppose it effects value? It's on an older Ruger 10/22.

My guess, and it is just a guess, is it will not be a factor in value. This guess is based on the huge # of 10-22s made.
