Merkel 140 Safari boxlock double rifle, chambered in 375 H&H. This is a fantastic rifle that I took on my first Safari to South Africa and Mozambique in 2014. Since then I have purchased several other rifles that fit the same purpose and this one deserves better than to sit in the safe. These rifles are very well crafted and dependable. I found the accuracy to be more than adequate and sincerely enjoy shooting and hunting with this rifle. Overall condition metal 90%+, wood 85%+, no rust, both bores and chambers perfect condition. Features include 24” barrels, one standing sight, one folding leaf, double triggers, cocking indicators, premium walnut stock, 14 5/8” LOP, factory recoil pad and sling swivels. Also included the factory box, and 100 rounds of Frderal Premium Trophy Bonded Bearclaw 300gr ammunition (approximately $450.00 value.) This rifle is regulated for that ammo, and shoots it well. This rifle is ideal for the experience professional hunter or serious beginner looking to embark on your first great dangerous game adventure.
