i' m wanting a new automatic shot gun what do you prefer

currently i have a mossberg 500 12ga. and i' m wanting to upgrade to a autoloader and this gun will be used for turkey hunting and dove hunting what do you guys prefer to shoot out to long distances on turkey.

What do you consider long distances? Even if you go to 3.5" magnum shells, you' re still looking at getting them within 40 yards to make a good clean kill. Most 3" magnums will handle that task.

If you like Mossberg (you and I might get flamed for this one) you might look at their new Semi-Auto. I believe it' s a 935 (?). It' s supposed to be the semi-auto version of the 835 Ulti-Mag. It should be a pretty nice gun for the money.

Me personally? (I' ve had numerous Mossbergs, a couple of Remingtons, and one Winchester) I dropped a chunk of change on a Benelli Super Black Eagle. It' s primarily my turkey gun. It' s the last turkey gun I' ll ever have to buy.

i' m talking 50 yards i' m not really wanting to spend that much money for a benelli i have looked at some charles daly guns they look good but there is a lot of mixed reactions to the gun so i' m pretty confused about what to do and also do you have any idea how much a mossberg 935 will cost.

50 yards is a very long shot at a turkey, and I don' t recommend it with anything short of a rifle.

The Mossberg should retail for a 100 or so below what Remington and Winchesters want for their top of the line guns. That is if they follow their normal pattern. I' d say somewhere between 400-500.00 for one.

The Charles Dalys are " ok" guns in my opinion, if you' re lucky. You could get one that works fine for several years. You could also get stuck with a lemon that you' ll never be happy with.

The Mossberg Danny is talking about is the 935.It' s currently in wood or camo, wood goes for about 500, camo for about 600. The sneak preveiw at a recent DU shindig suggests it may well turn out to be a hell of a auto. Strickly a 3' ' and3 1/2" gun which is just fine for turkey and waterfowl, supposed to pattern REAL nice[8D]

If you truely want a semi then why settle for a pump?, you' ll just regret it later. Stick with your original plan, just my 2 cents:)

deer hunter 21 If the 870 Remington is the express model $200 is paying close to what a new one costs around here $237 and change . If you don' t have a problem with used guns you can find some good buys on remington 1100 or 1187 both . I have a few autos but myself I prefer the pump shotguns .

I was going to say, the 870 Express regularly sells for 210.00 here, and can be found on sale occasionally for 199.00. The Wingmaster is another story.
