New Rem 700 serial number location

Does anyone know where the serial number is located on new 700's? I heard it's under the bolt now but I haven't seen one to know for sure...

The 700 I purchased Black Friday 2014, so ~2yrs ago, had the SN on the forward left side (opposite the bolt handle) of the receiver.

Yeah that's where all I've seen are also, I'm hoping they changed it but I'm thinking they didn't :(

jeep, Remington puts the serial numbers on the bolt and on the left side of the barrel usually under the Remington stamp. they should match.
