What do you folks think about a 25-06 in a 24" barrel, good gun or not. Thanks Rich

Great! The price of factory ammo relative to a /243, .270, .30-06, or .308? Not so great, but as long as you know that going in.

I'd definitely take one if you gave it to me. It would make a good open field rifle.

good combo, you want 24" on .25-06 IMO.

good cartridge for antelope/deer, etc...

I kind of am partial to my .243 and .270 though...

always thought a 6.5-06 (26-06) would make a lot of sense...?

I think you'll be really satisfied with that rifle. Should be a great shooter.
