RE: CHEAP scope for .22 auto
Tasco has come a long way since the Trashco days. For a .22 auto set up for squirrel just about any of the lower end models from Bushnell, Simmons,Tasco,ect... will do.

RE: CHEAP scope for .22 auto
its a 22 scope so as long as it holds together sitting on the shelf at the store then it'll hold togetther on a .22

Check out BSA's. My dealer sells allot of them and hasn't had any complaints.Atleast that's what he says.Ruger Redhawk

RE: CHEAP scope for .22 auto
Funny you say that, Ruger. I just put 2 BSA scopes on 22's that I have. They are 4X scopes that were affordable. They seem great so far!

Joel, trashco world class plus is a pretty decent scope for the money. i tell you what i bought for one of 22 's was a simmons eight point . i am more impressed with it. stay away from the blazer line of scopes. they have a one year warranty. they are made by simmons but are junk. also the pronghorn line by trashco is junk.

hmmm.. i'll keep looking around... my cuzin has a bushnell sportsman? i think. 3-9X40 but it goes out of wack fast... so im thinking simmons or trashco.. hehehe....and i think i was a X32 cause X40 looks too big on a .22 rifle. plus i dont need something that powerful...

RE: CHEAP scope for .22 auto
I like my Simmons .22 MAG 3x9 ($70).
Never tried any others, but works quite well. I must admit that I had one problem with it from the factory where the reticle came loose and couldn't keep a zero, but they fixed or replaced it for no charge. OK by me. Keep 'em all in the Bull. |

RE: CHEAP scope for .22 auto
I have a 3-7x20 tasco. Put it on my Remington 597 and had it sighted in. But, it was as far right as it would go and the bullet was still hitting just right of the cross hairs. other than that it was just right for me. Nice and clear, and zoomed in just far enough for what I am comfortable shooting at. Bought it at wal mart for 20-30 bucks, dont remember exactly how much now, but I think its alright for the money and just on a .22. just my opinion.

RE: CHEAP scope for .22 auto
I have a bushnell sportview on my .308
it fell out of my truck and landed on the asphalt the other day. Didnt knock it off abit. i only paid about 60 for it and its a 3-9x40 so im sure the x32 is cheaper. |
RE: CHEAP scope for .22 auto
I've put four of the 3x9x32 Tasco Mag 22's on some .22's recently, including one of my own. All of the guys that have them (including me) are impressed with them. They're pretty clear and all have adjusted well and held zero well. For around $40 I think they're a really good buy for a .22 scope. I wouldn't put a tasco on a big game rifle, but for a plinking and squirrel gun they're fine.
