Just didn't know if there were a forum on here I missed. Were they are talked about.
Or guys tell about a new find, or build.
I have a few I enjoy takeing to the range, and I have a couple I carry out in the woods a few times every deer season , with the hopes of filling a doe permit.
I just returned a #4 MK1 x. To all it's glory.
Some wood Chuck cut it up,
Thank goodness he didn't cut the barrel down.
So I ordered a complete stock set, and a hardware kit, and it came out pretty nice.
I am looking for a few hardware pieces that have the LB. Stamp .
The hardware kit I got was a mix master of parts.
So I hit the gun shows looking for the correct hardware.
I just tryed to up load a pic.
It said it failed but I don't know why.

First off, welcome to the site biglever, Now for the fun stuff. That (x) isn't part of the rifle model. It's a proof mark. Here is a little page that will show you ALL markings for LE's and has history for all the LE models. Go to it, read up on it and then find the matches for the markings on your receiver ring and side of the receiver as well as on the barrel then you will have an exact picture of what you need to bring it up to originality rather than a mix and match if that's what you want. I might or might not have some stuff for you. I have sporterized a few #4's both US Savage made as well as Brit made. Also have a couple of the #4 MKI (T) refitted by H&H to be "sniper" rifles so I do have a few parts laying around the shop if one of my kids hasn't robbed the bin. One of my boy's is into the LE rifles pretty heavily so his head is always flitting around in my shop looking for build parts. Here is that site for you http://www.allaboutenfields.co.nz/history/markings/

I've had several Jake, still have a couple in damn near pristine condition never issued. But I've just never really liked them as far as the feel and to be honest, since there were like close to 40 million of them made, the resale value, even the more rarefied M91/30 sniper, is pretty much bottom class. Fairly rugged rifle though and, with a little love to it, you can make a pretty decent rifle off a 91 action. The bolt has more in common to an Enfield than a Mauser and my own personal preference is the flat out raw strength of the Mauser action.
