I'm going with Sheridan on this on AR platform. 10 30round mags and about a couple thousand rounds in ammo. It is an election year ya know.

Get something fun. Something you'll have fun just pulling out of the safe and will enjoy shooting often.

Another Vangard S2 might fit the bill. How about a Colt .45 or a Ruger SR-556?

I did look at the SR-556 after some of the earlier comments. So that is now on the list as well.

A nice CZ model 527 .204 in either the lighter weight easy carrying "American" Rifle or the heaveir "Varmint" model. This Caliber shoots a lighter grain bullet fast and accurate and it has plenty of knock down power on Coyotes and other Predators with little fur damage.

Another Fun Caliber would be the .22 Hornet which would be even easier on the Fur/Hide of smaller Game such as Foxes,Bobcats & Racoons. It has low recoil and it is a very accurate round.Again the CZ Rifle would be a good choice, the Browning A-bolt Micro Hunter .22 Hornet is another great choice or the Ruger in the #1 is a great shooting Rifle!

Another great round would either be the .17 Remington/Fireball or the newer .17 Hornady Hornet!

Another Caliber that intrigues Me and would be another light Caliber that's fast and accurate would be the .20 VarTarg that uses less powder but still reaches out far with good knock down power on Predators,Varmints and Prarie Dogs!

Get a Savage M99. They are a classic American hunting rifle.

They made a million of them. They have control round feeding.
