Bear Medicine
 

I'm in the process of customizing my Remington 760 Gamemaster .30-.06 for the upcoming PA black bear season. So far I have swapped the wooden stock and forearm for synthetic pieces from an 870 pump shotgun. I had to use a Lumley forearm adapter to make that work along with some trimming of the forearm to clear the 760's clip. The scope is a Leatherwood 4-16x44mm with see-thru mounts. About the only things left to add are an Uncle Mike's barrel clamp sling mount and a black Claw sling. I plan on using 180 gr Rem Core-Lokt ammo. It might not be pretty or expensive but it should be effective.

Look pretty "killer" to me.................

And here are some pics of the muddy mess a sow and older cub made on my Sport Trac about a week ago. I guess I was parked too close to "their" orchard. They also stole a set of antlers, knocked over a small freezer and a trash can and flattened my ground blind. LOL

Looks like they really hate Fords in that area....

My guess is they saw their reflection in the paint/glass. I probably should learn not to keep it so clean...
The truck was parked near the orchard the day that happened. I was turkey hunting and when I came out the woods that evening the sow and cub were in the orchard. They were apparently wreaking havoc at my house just before that. The house is on top of the ridge above the orchard.

Blacksnake, looks like you should be able to get into some bears! Where you at in PA? Due to my schedule I don't think I'm going to be able to get out at all this year :mad: Might be able to sneak out the last day though.
