Dang you Pig!!! I like that stock! Beautiful color and "striping". Now the wife is going to have yet ANOTHER reason to get pissy at me! Gonna have to build me one! Maybe I'll just "stock switch" to make her a little happier.

Nice lookin' rifle in anybody's book........ bet it's a shooter too !!!
8lbs.10oz. - manageable also. |
Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'm looking forward to running it through its paces and see how she shoots out to 1K.

Good luck. It's a beauty. Just checked the site. The only action I have free is a German 98k and the only stock they make for that is some plastic job. This right here is probably the most beautiful stock I have ever seen for a Mauser action build
The guy that made that stock no longer makes them. Has to be the prettiest piece of wood I have seen on a rifle by far. |
can't for the life of me shoot a less than 10-12 pound rifle worth a hoot at 1K

Ridge,
I'd need a porter to carry that into the field for me - LOL !!! |
Hey Pig, if you want a very interesting read from a 1969 Outdoor life, check this article out. Written by the Late Great Jack O'Connor. It's about gun stock wood. http://www.jack-oconnor.org/pdf/Jack...2013-02-09.pdf
