Only one gun

Ok guys if you were forced to clean out the safe and only keep one which hunting rifle and in what chambering would you keep? What glass would you have on it?..

If I was forced to have only one rifle to hunt with, it would be my .300 Weatherby and I'm happy with the Leupold VX-I 4-12x that's on it.

Rem Model 700 Classic in 375 H&H Mag. It is topped with a 1.5x6 Bausch & Lomb and has Leupold QD rings. Iron sights are set for 50 yards with 300 gr bullets. With this rifle I can use it for anything on the planet. It shoots a handloaded solid and soft point to the same point of aim. With solids I can shoot small stuff or big stuff and with soft points I can use it for everything else.

I only have one center fire, a 1980 model M-77 in .243 caliber with a Leupold VX-II 3x9x40...It's all I have used for deer, bear and other varmints since I bought it new...I've killed over 200 deer with it so I guess it's a keeper....

This is a tuff one but we're I hunt in wv I would probably say my savage 24 f 12/222 with a redfield golden five star 4x. Can kill squirrels, rabbits, Fox, coyote, groundhogs, turkeys and deer with the same gun. Know a person that even killed a black bear with his savage 24 in 222.

If I had to choose today it would be my Model 70 SE .375 H&H topped with a VX6 2x12.

In a few years when I quit traveling so much I think I would choose a Model 700 .280 topped with a VX6 2X12. It is not quite a factory rifle as it has a Douglas barrel and Brown Precision stock. If not the .280 it would be my identical .300 WM.

Well since I could not use a centerfire during shotgun or muzzleloader seasons here in Michigan, I would pick my T/C Omega Muzzleloader and be limited to 200 yard or under shots.

No way I would ever clean the safe out to where I had just one gun. I could get by with one rifle my Remington 700 # 1 custom in 300 Winchester mag. One shot gun my Ithaca model 37 feather weight with the mod choke.

Having one gun is blasphemy way I see it.

Would hate to shoot a coyote whose pelt I am going to seel with a 30 CAL magnum let alone a wood chuck. A squirrel won't even be worth looking for either.
