I had one built in 2013. 7STW, nutmeg laminated stock (think its a Boyd's), 26" polished stainless tube with helical flutes, matte blued receiver. It'll hold 3/4 moa for 5 shots with good hand loads. For what it is, a semi custom, I think it's a good deal. I was told 14 months but had it in 9.

I want another 280 Rem, and would buy a Savage Weather Warrior, problem is Savage doesn't offer a 280, I don't want a 7-08 or a 7mm Rem mag.

Well I did a little looking today, think I might have found my next gun. The Remington 700 Mountain SS, chambered in the 280 Rem.

Build one...go get a donor at Walmart for 390 and send it over. A 280 ack with a #2 fluted shilen and a BC wby style stock would be close to that factory Remington...

Was looking at the mountain rifle to but know I have a rem adl mag action so going to build one. Think 26 nosler but know might go 28 will be a while talked to smith last week to get general prices where to start.

I think I will go that route. You build guns Jeep? What kind of turn around would you say, after I got the donor? I like the 280 that I have but was wanting to get another and have actually considered the AI before.
