I SHOOT A 300 RUM, AND WAS AT A LOCAL GUN SHOW AND SAW A BEUTIFUL WEATHERBY AT A FAIR PRICE IN 30-378, BUT MOMMA SAID NO. ANYWAY I DID A LITTLE RESERCH AND WOW I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BALLISTICLY, MY QUESTION IS CAN ANYONE THAT HAS ONE "SELL ME" TELL ME ABOUT THIS CARTRIGE.

I got a Accumark in .30-378 not too long ago. I haven't done a whole lot of shooting with it yet, winter makes it tough getting to the range, looks like it's gonna shoot pretty good, chrono'd 180's @ 3400 fps. That's under their advertised 3500+, but still 100+ faster than the Ultra Mag I had. If you want some reloading info, email me and I'll send you what I got.

YES I WOULD APPRICIATE THAT. ALSO YOU SAID YOU HAD A RUM, WHY DID YOU GET RID OF IT.

Rossman -My 300 ultramag launches 180 gr bullets at just under 3400fps with handloads.It does this while burning less powder and developing less recoil than the 30-378.Brass is also much cheaper to buy.

WELL, IF THE PERFORMANCE IS SO CLOSE THEY OVERLAP THEN WHAT'S THE NEED...EH?
