Value of A Valmet O/U

Thinking of selling my Valmet 412 (2 3/4")12 ga/.222. It is in very good condition...Does anyone know the approx. value of this gun? I bought it used 4-5 years ago for $1500.

Thanks

bought my 12/223 in 1983 for 450bucks, put on a scope, new stock, a choke sleave, and painted it, 1500.00 wouldn't touch it.

A new one made in Italy by marocchi arms is about $2500. Only one place imports them that is networkretailing llc / double gun canby OR . Bought a 12/12 30" barrel mod/full choke 4 years ago for $600 at cabelas.

Thanks for the replies. Mine is in very good condition. I am shooting Federal Supreme copper coated 6's and have a great pattern at about 30-35 yds, that is as far as I have shot it for turkey season. I can use the rifle barrel at any greater distance.
Thanks

yep I tried to buy that one but we didn't see eye to eye at the time, now since I plow her driveway in the winter I'm golden, I offererd a mint for it, not because it shot well, but because of who it belonged to. treasure it, it belonged to one helluva guy, and he killed a bunch of turkeys with it.

Ridgerunner, You seem to be really knowledgeable with these guns.. That said, what do you think is a good price to ask for the gun. It will be the bare gun. You may pm me if you prefer. Where do you live in WV? I am originally from Jefferson Co. but moved to Hardy Co. (Wardensville) in 05.
