Gun cleaning kit advice

I am looking at updating my cleaning kits. What in yalls opinion would be the best all around cleaning kit. I've been contemplating the Otis Hardcore hunter kit.

Avoid a "kit". Get yourself a good one piece rod, some brushes and brass pointed jags.

+1 Tipton

However; the military has been using Otis technology for years now.

The Mrs. got me an Otis Elite kit for Xmas this year. So far I really like it!

I second the Otis products. The last cleaning kit I will ever have to buy.

I don't own an Otis kit but I do own other kits. For pistols, I tend to use pistol cleaning kits. For shotguns, I use shotgun kits. For rifles, I have coated rods and different brushes and jags. I don't know if you'll ever find one kit that is the "last" one you'll buy though. :D

Midway has some very complete kits, they are excellent except they come with 3 PC. Rods, I just bought a kit and ordered a few 1 PC rods.

Thanks for all the helpfull responses. Looks like I'll get the Otis and then just add a few pieces for the more thorough cleanings. I like the compact size of the Otis for traveling to the hunting sites with me.
