Tri-pods for gun
I'm looking for a different set-up for my coyote gun. Right now, I've got a fixed bi-pod on my .223 and my son has a portable mono-pod for his gun. But, I've got issue's with those types of pods.
I'd like to find something that's simple & quick to set-up, full range of motion and will work in a sitting and kneeling position. I'd like something that's not fixed to my swivel lugs so that I can us it on different guns.
Anyone find that perfect pod yet?

I just purchased this one: www.bipodshootingsticks.com
I liked the price, ease of use and the many ways it can be used.

That's pretty cool! haven't seen that type of pod yet.
Hopefully, I can find that guy at one of the outdoor shows this Winter and I think I'll pick one up.
I do a lot of huting with my X-bow and muzz loader out of a tri-pod in Western OK and those would be perfect for that situation.
Thanks!

IMHO this Primos Trigger Stick Tripod in the Amazon.com link below is the best free standing one on the market if you can afford the cash! I just use my camera tripod for my camera, spotting scope, and to shoot off of, so it serves 3 purposes in one device.

I have a set of Trigger Sticks and they work just as advertised. However, I seem to shoot better from a traditional set of three wooden sticks than I do from any other type of tripod. Wood is cheap, quiet, and durable - and you can make them yourself for a couple of bucks (three rods bound with a leather or rubber strap). They are adjustable to any height quickly and feel more solid to me than the aluminum models.
I only use tripods for shooting while standing in African bush where I have used both aluminum and wooden sets. In NA where I can take a sitting or prone position I much prefer a Harris bipod.

I would be a little suspect of this system until I actually had the chance to handle one on a gun. My main concern is that it appears to have a rubber loop that tensions around the BBL. Additional tension, varying tension or weight on a BBL with cause a shift in impact.
