Default Remington 700 mountain lss

I have been looking around for another rifle and found the remington model 700 mountain lss and I am interested in this gun. Does anyone know anything about this model and maybe a place I could get one? On Remington's website it says that it has been discontinued.

You'll just have to call around to different gun shops and ask if the can find you one. Even Cabelas and Gander Mtn. was selling them.

I think I remember seeing one chambered in .270 at Clark Brothers (S. of Warrenton on Rt. 29). I don't remember how long ago, but it is worth a phone call.

700 Mountain rifles are great guns. Just about as perfect a hunting rifle as there is, at least in my mind. Light, compact, accurate... can't ask for much more. I have 2, and love em.
The LSS is pretty sweet. I would start calling around, I bet someone has them. Last august I saw several in gun stores. I would also keep an eye on the auction sites. Gunbroker seems to have them occasionally. You'll find one for sure if you look hard enough, and are patient enough. And of course, you can always get the new model mountain if you can't find an LSS you like. Its SS gun w/synthetic stock. Another good option is the LSS model 7.

A 700 Mountain Rifle in 280 Rem occupies more of my dream time than the gal down the road that sunbathes naked on her trampoline.

Did I just say that out loud ?

I recently saw one on Gunbroker. I have one in 30-06 that I will never part with. The ones I have seen recently (new) are running $950-$1,000, probably because they are discontinued. Good luck in your search.
