Tikka T3 shooters
 

Just purchased a Tikka T3 Lite & need to put a scope on it. Are the stock rings that come w/ the rifle any good or should I scrap them & purchase a new set of rings/bases?

i personally purchased rings separately and they haven't let me down after over 150 shots through my 300 winmag. the stock ones may well work fine but i knew what i was looking for and made good on it.

IMO, the stock rings on the Tikka are junk. I'd suggest the Talley two piece mounts.

I too tossed the rings that came with my T3 in 270WSM and used turn-in Lupy rings and bases and they have worked great for 4 hunting seasons and counting. I don't know that the ones they provided aren't good, they just didn't look all that durable and I prefer steel over aluminum when it comes to rings/bases.
