Which Rifle to keep

I have two rifles in 7mm-08. BLR in the camo stainless version, and a Sako A7 stainless. Need to reduce one of them to make room for other firearms. Don't need to 7mm-08s. If it were you, what rifle would you keep. I use them for mostly deer hunting in Pa., Possible Black bear, and maybe a Texas sheep. Looking for advise on which to keep. Can't make up my mind, they both shoot very well with 120gn TTSX over 45 gns of Varget...

I'd pass on the BLR and hang onto the Sako.

SwampCollie 11-04-2013 08:40 AM

I've never been much on BLRs, so I'd move that one, especially if they both shoot the same and you are not particular to one or the other.

Another vote to keep the Sako.

Keep the sako

CalHunter 11-04-2013 12:34 PM

Unless there's some special application for the BLR, I think I'd keep the Sako and I'm a Browning fan. Then again, you could always buy a bigger gun safe and this wouldn't be a problem. :D

I agree - Keep the A7

Ridge Runner 11-04-2013 02:18 PM

can't help ya, never sold one unless it was junk. and I have 5 223's
RR

Bbj270 11-04-2013 02:57 PM

That's nothing I have 8 30/06. Never sold any, dad won a blue in 308 in 91 traded even for a rem 700 back in 270. I got two 7mm/08s so if it where me I would try to keep both. But if you must get ride of one keep the sako.

Night Crawler 11-04-2013 03:25 PM

man should not have to sell off toys of the like to finance more toys of the like, keep them both and save up for whats next.

Sorry I have that sickness

now if I were to go buy between the 2 it would be the Sako.

I would keep the most accurate one.

emtrescue6 11-05-2013 02:35 PM

Yeah I don't sell either...just buy more safes! If you opt to sell the BLR, message me, I'd be interested in it, I love the 2 BLR's I have and don't happen to have one in 7-08 :)

Sako. Like other have stated, I'm not much for the BLR. I had one in .243 for awhile and it didn't fit me worth a darn. Felt like a club in my hands. Every Sako I've handled fit me well.

Bocajnala 11-06-2013 05:54 PM

Another vote to not sell. Once you sell it's gone! I've only sold one, and I couldn't get it to shoot worth a darn! If I could only keep one it'd be the sako.

Well overall, most seem to like the Sako...as do I. But the real question is...which do YOU like better? You said they both shoot well, so really it becomes personal preference as to which one you keep/sell.

Wayspr 11-07-2013 02:25 AM

For me it would depend on what type of guns I already had in the safe. If it was my only centerfire rifle, I'd go with the bolt gun. If I already had a pile of bolt guns, but trying to thin out duplicated chamberings, I'd keep the BLR.

GRIZZLYMAN 11-07-2013 03:53 AM

I have a Sako and a BLR (Belgium made) and if I had to, the BLR would go and I would keep the Sako.
