is it safe to buy the newer Remingtom 700 s

hey folks...i don't have a T V so I'm a little out of touch ...i just saw a show about the Remington safety issue on a friends TV set..

i've bought 2 Remington 700s during the last 4 years..i keep my rifles cleaned...were they installed with the new safe trigger mechanism?

thanks,
C7

Yes just use good gun safety at all times with any gun and you will be fine with the X40 trigger.

The trigger/safety problems you're referring to go back several years, so there's a good chance that your rifles may be affected. I'd call Remington with your serial numbers and see what info they give you.

Just what to add the walker triggers or whats bad. If you have one with this trigger call remington or go to your gunsmith to have it checked or just put a new trigger on the gun. I had five remingtons with the walker and changed them all to timney triggers #510 much better safety.
