Savage auto .22 modal 64
 

Hi,

I"m considering a new auto .22 rifle.

Choices are:

10/22 Ruger bull barrel with a custom thumbhole stock & perhaps custom barrel as well.

Savage 64 auto, also with thumbhole stock & heavy barrel.

I've shot a 10/22 set up like that and very nice (had a custom barrel as well as stock). VERY accurate, no doubt due to that barrel, but also had trigger adjusted a bit. So hard to know just how the factory barrel & trigger would be from that, which I'm keeping well in mind.

My bigist question regarding the 64 is trigger pull. How heavy is it & does it have creep?

Accuracy of the Savage?

If anyone has shot both I'd love to hear how both compare when both have factory barrels for accuracy as well as the trigger pull of both.

Thanks for any info you can give me on the Savage & how factory accuracy of both would be.

Does no one here own a Savage 64?

Would really like to hear from someone who's got experience with one.
