hornady ammo
Everyones literature reads real good on their own rounds. It does appear that Hornady has the least expensive ammo for my 338WM but I was wondering if there are any of their loads I should stay away from. I plan to hunt elk with my 338.

Use their 225 grain Interbond for elk and you won't be sorry!

Hornady bullets are great. I have used them for years.

I agree...the 225 Interbond is the best of the lot. While I am a Nosler guy, I use Hornady bullets in some loads, can't go wrong with them.

You've put up a few of these questions about ammo for your .338WM lately, would you be interested in custom handrolled ammo? Just find a bullet you like, there'd be plenty of guys around wichita that would work with you through load development then roll your "pet-load" for you.

sent you a pm but in short the answer is yes.

i use 225 gr sp in my 338 wm with 72.5 gr of rl-19 and have .35 in groups at 100 yards i shoot a nice doe last year at almost 400 yards double lung hit it folded over right on the spot

Unrepentant Hornady fan for mega years.

With the exception of 162gr SSTs in a 280 Rem, I have never had great accuracy from Hornady bullets. Seems as I always start with em because of the price but always end up with something else. Have tried em in 270, 280, 7-08, 30'06, 7 STW, 300 WSM and 257 Bob. Only the 280 prefers em over Nosler or Sierras.
