Thinking about a new .22lr rifle
I've been thinking about getting a new 22lr rifle. I've got it narrowed down to the Ruger 10 22 and Marlin 795. I know the Ruger has many more aftermarket parts available. I have seen results that the Marlin is a little bit more accurate. Reliability, the rifles seem equal. What do ya all think?

I've always liked the Marlins personally. My favorite is the 60SS for a .22. My nephew has a Henry Goldenboy .22 lever action and that thing is really sweet. Marlin makes a lever gun too.
To answer your question, its really gonna be what you like...both are reliable good quality guns, imo.

It is all about preference. Both guns will shoot better than you can aim. I picked up a 10/22 compact about a month ago. Fun to shoot.
Believe it or not, the Rugers are hard to find around me and the prices have jumped with the madness going on. I have seen some Marlins on the shelf.
