Federal Ammo Question
 

Mistakenly picked up wrong ammo last evening. I picked up Federal's 300 win Mag 180 grain soft point (Power-Shok). I use it for deer only, anyone know how this ammo performs?

i have shot some 150 gr out of a 30/30 and it did pretty good not sure how it will do in the 300 win mag

Works extremely well out of my .270. I recovered one bullet from a buck I shot head on through the brisket at 70 yards and I recovered the bullet at his testicles. It retained 83% of its weight and mushroomed perfectly.

I have had excellent results with Federal Powershok's in 30-30, 308, 270, and 30-06.

Thanks for the replies. What I had been using was Federal's 180 gr Speer Hot Core SP which I liked and mistakenly picked up the above mentioned ammo. I hope the ammo above will work as well.

I have had great results out of my .270 in 140 grain accubond.

Works well.
