Does anybody know where I can find a Ithaca deerslayer 2 16 ga. fully rifled deer gun my wife has one looking for one for my daughter?

better off with a 20ga., more choices of slugs and easily to be found. Look into a Mossberg 500 slugger, very accurate with a decent scope

Never even seen one. Also have never seen 16 Ga sabot slugs, though they could be out there for all I know. I'd also go with a 20 ga over the 16 for a younger person. Why not a Savage 220? Probably about the same money as the Ithaca.

Lightfield made a run of them. My wife has a 16 ga deerslayer II and it shoots very well looking for one for my daughter.

Default Ithaca 16 ga DS II

Going to be a tough find but I have seen a few for sale in the past couple years. Supposedly, and not confirmed, but it has been stated that Ithaca only made approximately 200 in total.

Lightfield still makes sabot slugs in 16 gauge.

I realize this is an old post but I happen to have 2 16 gauge Deerslayer IIs. If you are still looking for one, shoot me an email.

I absolutely agree going 20 gauge for the reasons stated. Personally a Mossberg or Remington would be fine.

You might spend a LONG time looking for one 16 Deerslayer and two of them is going to be a monumantal task. Gotta consider if and what you might find for sale may not be in sweet condition.

Good luck.
