Opinions from folks on 20 gauge...

Hi everyone, I'm buying my son a 20 gauge youth shotgun for his first shotgun, and it's between the Weatherby SA-08 and the
Mossberg SA-20. Any of you that own one of these or have friends that do, could you please share your opinions with me? Thanks!

I have and a few friends have the Mossberg 500 in 20ga. with the rifle/cantilever barrel, they use theirs all the time mine is a back up or to let friends/family use. none of use have any issues, very accurate, and mossberg is a proven shotgun maker

Thanks Bowhuntercop...anyone out there have Mossy or Weatherby semi-autos?

My brother owned a Mossberg 935 for a year or two. He used it primarily for wing shooting. He sold the gun due to frequent ejection problems. I have no experience with the Weatherby auto loaders but have read some good reviews.. Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks RPD, I'm leaning towards the Weatherby, they seem to have a higher level of quality control and testing than Mossberg, and their customer service is far better.
As well, they have wood stocks in adult LOP for when my son outgrows his youth
stock...and I like that they have two different valves for light and heavy loads.
