...So the 7mm would have me under-gunned for the game I mentioned?

Nope, not at all.

Seeing how a .22LR HAS killed everything in NA and most likely Africa, then yes a .223 could too.

Something I meant to mention in my earlier post. If you are not going to reload, you may want to look at the price of the ammo for the bigger magnums.

And taking guns away happens in other countries, that doesn't mean we should do it here either. Big difference between being able to do something, and it being the just and right thing to do.

All this talk here and on a another thread has inspired me to try something different so, I'm buying a wrist rocket, one that has the power of a 30.06 at like 30 feet. And i got a heavy load for grizzlies,(they're ball bearings out of a mack truck). Hey david killed goliath with one.

you could just get a hand cannon and go with the S&W 460 magnum.

The 375 H&H is the way to go. It is a handloaders dream, can be loaded down, or full power. Recoil is managable, extremely accurate and kills with authority. Ammo is readily available, and doesn't trash deer like the fast steppers.

I would say that your question regarding the 7mm Mag would be fine for everything on your list...except the big griz! I wouldn't hunt the big bears with a 7mm...and I have hunted them in Alaska several times.

Honestly...as someone else pointed out...your .308 will also take everything on your list with ease (again except the big bears)...

Go .223...as other posters have mentioned, they'll kill anything in North America
