The X Bolt has some design upgrades over the A Bolt. I prefer the X Bolt magazine "system", trigger and overall ergonomics.

The X-Bolt has a user adjustable trigger that Browning calls the "Feather Trigger", a bolt unlock button that allows the bolt to be operated while on safe, a detachable rotary magazine, and uses different scope mounts.

The X-Bolt also feels better in my hands.
