Trigger Adjustment on Winchester Model 94AE

I own a Winchester Model 94AE and would like to know if the trigger can be adjusted. When shooting the trigger gives about 1/4" before it " Grabs" then it requires a significant force to make it fire. I do not know if this is common for Win. lever actions. I have owned Marlin lever actions and all of the triggers did not act this way, but, all required a lot of force to get them to fire. I do not know what the ft/lbs on the triggers are. On the lever actions I did own I learned to live with it.

RE: Trigger Adjustment on Winchester Model 94AE

There is no " adjustment" on a Win. M94, but at least the old ones could have their triggers lightened and the parts polished so they worked smoothly. Don' t know if the new ones work the same, since I' ve never worked on one of the AE' s.Take it to a GOOD gunsmith!;)
