Anyone ever shoot a Beretta 3901?
I found a Beretta on sale a a gun shop in the town where I live. It was marked $499 down from $599. The only thing is I have never shot a Beretta before and when I looked for some reviews on this gun, I could not find any. It' s marked on sales tag as a Beretta 3901 12 Gauge. It shoots 2 3/4 and 3 in. and has a composite stock. I couldn' t even find it on the Beretta web site! Should this scare me away from buying it? Any help is appreciated! Ned |
RE: Anyone ever shoot a Beretta 3901?
Ned, Beretta had a promotion eariler in the year. I bought a 682 E trap combo and it came with a free 3901. I didnt even assemble it or shoot it, just sold it for $500 to a inlaw. The finish was a bit crude compared to thier premium guns. It' s like something that Wal Mart might sell. I have shot the 303' s, 390' s and do have 391' s, which are great guns but are priced a bit higher.
sorry I could' nt be more help......AA |
RE: Anyone ever shoot a Beretta 3901?
Ned,
I believe the 3901 is pretty much the same gun as the 390 series with a frew cost saving features, like the 301 that Walmart sells. They cutback on a few things like the magazine cutoff and kept the price down by adding a synthetic stock. It should function and last just as well as the other Beretta autos which have a super reputation as far as reliability on the trap and skeet ranges. |
