Limb Saver Vs. Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad

I have a Marlin 1895 45-70 that I just bought I love the gun not the recoil much. Its not the 1st 5 shots that get me the the 9th and 10th. I want to put a new recoil pad on it what should I get. I have two limb saver pads on two other guns and love them but heard that the pachmayr is better what should I get.

IMO the Limbsaver is a little better at reducing felt recoil but the Decelerator feels more rugged to me. So as RR said, flip a coin.

+1

All I use on both rifles & shotguns.

Let me add something else to the mix here. The material of the couple Limbsavers that I have and several others that I have been around, has a tacky feeling to it. At times it will sort of grab and stick to your hunting clothing. The Decelerators don't seem to do this.

Independent tests show the Kick-Ez are best at reducing felt recoil.I have one on my 835 12g and the difference is huge.

Decelerator. The Limb Savers have had issues getting soft or mushy or something. And mine fit right on my stock perfectly with no sanding necessary.

I was going to mention that. I just installed a Kick-eze pad and, so far, I like it as good as (or better) than the other two. It installed "nicer" than the Limbsaver. ALL will work well though.
